ARTIST STATEMENT

It’s been said that if you watch a rock long enough you will see it grow.

As a photographer, when I look at a building, my eyes go to the architectural details, the stylistic elements, ornaments, textures and patterns that define their essence. Particularly, the way they are constantly transformed by the changing light, with shadows dancing as the sun traverses the sky. The daily unveiling of buildings as they gradually cast shadows and reflect light onto each other and their surroundings.

The subject is architectural, but the real protagonist is the ever-changing light.

If you watch a building long enough you will see it come alive.
